gauge lights not working

just bought a 98 f150. none of the gauge lights work. i dont have the owners manual to find out which fuse to check but i find it odd that all the lights are out. all gauges are working just no lights when headlights are on. the clock changes brightness and the dome light comes on when all the way up. how hard is it to change all the bulbs or maybe its something easier. thanks

Do your tail lights and brake lights work? I know that on older vehicles if the tail lights didn't work then the guages would not light up.

all lights work. even the lights on the steering wheel and the radio lights dim when adjusted. just no lights on the gauges. could all lights go out at once? thanks

search google for your owners manual. you can find it in 2 seconds. Take a DMM to the respective fuse. If it is blown, find the short BEFORE you replace the fuse.
