turn signal and brake light not working

I have 07 F150. My drivers side rear turn signal and brake light does not work. I did have the fast flashing signal, which was resolved with new LED relay. Didn't fix the lighting issue. I pulled fuse 36 and 42 to visually check. They look good, I have no way to check other than visual. Should I just change the two fuses? Seem's people are checking the connection in steering wheel, ill try that. What next?

Stock taillamp? Did you pull the bulb and check it with a DMM?

Yes, stock tail lights and bulbs. Don't have DMM. Bulbs are cheap, I'll just chang it. I've been reading about this T connection in the rear, I'll look for it also and clean it.
