75w HIDs?
75w HIDs?
I have looked all over the place for 75w 9007 HIDs. I currently have 55w but when they run out, I would like to go brighter with the 75w. I already checked DDMtuning and they only go up to 55w. What is a quality company that sells 75w? I know they exist cause I've seen videos on YouTube. Thanks
There is no company that sells "quality" 75w, or any 75w that I know of. Ballasts need to be custom built to sustain that sort of power and the bulbs you use must be OEM. Given that you are using a PnP kit and already blinding the **** out of ppl with 55w glare, shame on you for wanting more.
If you stack a 35W next to a 75W kit, you would barely tell the difference. HID lightning isnt exponential in output like halogens. My 50Ws are just barely brighter than stock 35W.
Secondly, most aftermarket ballasts never put out what they claim. The 55W ballasts you say you have probably only put out about 41-42W. And the 75W ballasts on eBay probably are closer to 55W. If you got a legit 75W ballast (yes I have seen them, and yes they are expensive), they put out TREMENDOUS heat and WILL melt some projector bowls. But again, I'm talking about REAL 75W kits. The ones on eBay are probably close to only 50-55W
Seeing as you are already running PnP bulbs, I really hope you decide against this. You won't tell a difference, and what little brightness increase you will get will only go into the eyes of oncoming drivers.

The Retrofit Source has 100W ballasts http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...ducts_id=12811
But they are only available in D2S output.
