In Need of Help!!!!

My buddy and I installed some led switchbacks in our trucks today. I have a 2010 F150 and he has a 2012 F150. When installing the front switchbacks I didn't need resistors on mine, but his truck wouldnt work without them. Well I didnt want to do led tails due to the fact mine are painted black. Well we installed the rear leds and had hyperflash. So I took a 3 ohm 50w resistor he purchased at vleds.com they worked for a little while and now they have shut off completely. The lights only turn on now when you press the brake pedal. What is our problem its real late and this guy needs to leave my house!!!!!

Put the regular bulbs back in. If they're working, you've narrowed the problem down to the LEDs or the resistors.

Take an ohm meter and see if the resistors are still doing their job. If that passes, you've narrowed the problem down to those LEDs

Well we put the regular bulbs back in and the they would only light up when you pressed the brake. By the time he left the house they stopped working as well. So I guess I need to rip the resistors out?? Do you think I need to add resistors to the bottom bulb also? Which one would be two resistors for 2 bulbs out back???

Do your four ways work?

Take the resistors out and check the fuses for the turn signals. You might have shorted something out.
