Question Host for projector fogs?

Has anyone retrofitted NON-OEM fogs with projectors? Or are there any QUALITY projector off-road/fogdriving lights out there?

I'm getting an aftermarket bumper and I would really like to mount some bi-xenon driving lights I just need some light hosts to retrofit. The bumper is coming with fairly standard circular light ports so I definitely can't 'redneck' my '05 fog lights into it. From what I've found, most of the commonly available projector lights on the market aren't worth what they're charging.

Most lights like the Hella 500 or 1000s are too shallow to house a projector. Even the matchbox is around 4-5" long.

The hella optilux HID lights are ready to go out of the box, otherwise go with LED!

Check these out:

LEDs really don't have the "throw" that HIDs do when it comes to down-the-road visibility. Even then, you'd need one of those long lightbars to even get close to a 35W HID.

The optilux look nice but I'd really like a projector so I can run 'em while I'm driving down the road and not bother oncoming traffic. Living way out here in the boondocks I want tons of light hitting the ROW and fence lines.

The wife's Acadia's projectors are awesome!

Like raptor said look into some hella 4000 series hid off road lights and that should solve your problems!

You could mount some Blazer fogs or mount some Hella DE lights and arm them with an HID kit. They are not bixenon, but unless you retrofit you aren't going to get bixenon from a fog housing.

From my personal experience, foglamp HIDs are overkill and really don't function that well for the purpose of pure foglamps to run with main headlamps together. (I retrofitted full-size bixenon HID projectors to my 2004 housings and it was a bit of a waste, much too intensified foreground). Cosmetically beautiful, but functionality = meh.

I only run my fogs (3000k) in very intense fog and with the main headlights off, and they perform great in that situation. Otherwise the main HID headlamps are plenty, and having both sets on at once is annoying to my eyes with the foreground so damn bright from the foglamp HID projectors.
