led tailight bar

about to pick up a brand new 60'' led taillight bar for 30 bucks!
comes with the regular brake light blinkers and reverse..is that a good deal?
and also does anyone know how hard it is to wire it to the reverse lights?

Depends on the brand, or a lack of brand ( knock off ). In general I would say yes.

Do you have the 7 pin trailer tow adapter on your truck ?

- If so the reverse circuit is in that trailer tow adapter.
I can only say for sure about the '01 & '06 MY, that 1 A additional load on the truck's reverse lamps is not doable.
The lamps will not burn at full brightness.
Supposition on my part is the contacts in the DTR ( Digital Transmission Range ) Sensor are too small to carry the additional load, it is sized exactly for the 2 x 26W bulbs that the truck has.

OP, if you have the 7-pin like stated above, you can wire it in there or you can run the wire to your tail lamp and splice in there. If you bought it new for $30, don't expect much in terms of quality. My Plasmaglow was $75 and I think the Recon models cost the same, and they already have varying quality per differing members on this site.

hard wire the back up light into one of the reverese. lights on the back leave enough wire incase you have to remove it again later.
