Hide-A-Way Strobes

To the guys who have these: How many heads did you get and where did you put them? I was looking at a 6-head kit and thinking headlamps, turn signals and reverse lights, but then I found an 8-head kit for $40 more, and I'm thinking those could do in the cargo lights up top. I'm trying to decide if two more is worth the extra $40.

Also, isn't the drill bit required a standard 1"?

I have them in turn signals, fog lights, back up lamps, and cargo lights. Looks sweet at night, and always get compliments about the cargo light strobes.

So I take it you have no heat issues with them?

Oh yea they will never go out lol

These are what every new emergency vehicle is getting installed and have been for over a year now so much easier and light output is very similar

Do these come with a controller?

Also whats the cost? I know if they dont list price, and you have to ask you can't afford it.

They're called whelen vertex. If you look around, you can get them for 69 a head. No controller, can be linked together to run patterns with a single wire. Have them in my 06 and love them. They also have a switchback model that gives u two colors out of one head. If you have the funds, I highly suggest picking some up.

Like he said (below) there is a "sync" wire and you can sync them all up with each other. The inline pack is about 2.5" long and can fit anywhere.

Yea that sounds about right they are not cheap but will last forever and a really great product I would only buy whelen and my truck is lit up with only whelen.
