Bed Lighting

I just bought a roll up tonneau and now I want to have light!

Simply put, I want some kind of lights I can put up under the bed rails and work well. Figured these are going to be my best bet.

I think I'm going to go with the natural white color, I like the warm white, but its kelvin rating is 3300k, which may not have as much output as the natural white which is 4500k.

As for wiring them up, I guess I'll just run a fused wire from the battery to the back and have a switch back there to turn them on/off.

I'm open to other suggestions for lights and wiring ideas.

A few kits i've looked at myself:

Not sure how much what you posted is going to run you cost wise. But just some options you could probably find cheaper if you looked.

They could. Never know. Maybe if ya find a way to retro some of those led's into a small mountable box, if you will, to make it a cleaner install? Just tossing ideas around.

All I did was put 2 led bars on the metal polls that support my cover and hooked them up to a connector so I can disconnect the lights and take off my cover if need be. The total setup cost me about $20.

The top URL, are very bright, I ordered them in SEP-2011.
These are the 16.4 Feet 300 SMD LED Flexible Strip - Clear White LED

I installed 2 strips of these on the lip of the seating wall on the back patio this year.
One is under the bottom step, up the side and on the left wall, the other is on the right wall.
I just wrapped the extra behind the wall, illuminates the planter behind the house ( you can see this on the bush a bit on the left ).

The picture of the patio on Amazon is my backyard :

They come with female DC coax on them, you either need to cut this off and carefully solder into the wiring you are using, or get a male DC coax to plug them in. I had a bunch left over from my heated gear for the motorcycle

I've got the PlasmaGlow ones...actually getting them installed today!

I'll post pics as soon as I can. I did alot of research of these and they were pretty good and and everyone was satisfied from what I read.

The only thing with my truck is that on my 03' Flareside is there is no "Under rail" in the bed except at the very back and front so I cant have them facing down but more stright out into the bed.
