Headlights

Am I the only person who prefers halogen bulbs to HIDs?

Nope. If you are speaking of factory reflector headlights, I much prefer Halogen. If we are speaking of projectors, I prefer HID. If we are talking about extreme fowl weather use, I absolutely prefer Halogen. So I guess it depends what circumstances you are considering.

Nope, I am a SilverStar user as well.
Headlamps, factory fogs and the Hella lamps in the hella grille upgrade ( H1s ).

Both motorcycles have the OSRAM plus bulbs in them from Europe.
This is the EU version of the Silverstar Ultra bulbs, prior to the Ultras being sold in the US.

I do have some HID lamps on the ZG1000, but these are the Trail Tech lamps. I had to cut some AMP draw somewhere, in the winter, I was killing the alternator and battery with the heated gear.
I had a choice, no heated gear or no driving lamps, and at 20* F, I am old enough to require heated gear.
- This is my 1 exclusion to HIDs, no other route still to this day.

I also use HIDs on my airplane, but like SSCULLY said, AMP dray of a 35W ballast to a 75W bulb is great. Vibration from my engine also kills those tungsten filaments.

SPAM.

Look at the post you quoted, there was an attempt to put in some URL from bbking info.

Seems to be happening more and more as of late. Reported the posts like this and they stick around as of late.
