Cheap switchbacks

Ordered these cheap switchbacks off ebay, half the price of vled and work great, also free next day shipping. The listing was a make an offer listing and he took $22.99 I bought 2 pairs and in the envelope he threw in 2 194 bulbs which are for the side markers. Look and work great.

did the same thing for my gf's car, the only difference i can tell is the v-leds have a brighter amber color when they flash but not by much. i also have a problem with my v-leds bulbs already and the cheap-o's are still going strong..

I wouldn't be surprised if they all originated from the same manufacturer

Ok so I do have a complaint about these but not sure if all switch backs are like this or not, but the clear leds stay on when the amber lights up for the turn signals...Its not really a problem because you do still very clearly see it but still would rather the clear shut off.

with my v-leds the white clearly shuts off and flashes amber then back white. with my cheap-os the white doesnt fully shut off but it comes damn close, definitely enough you have to really look to see the white. i have the tridon flasher on my truck but for her car i had to use the resistors so that might be why they don't fully shut off but i'm no electrical genius. lol

both of my bulbs are type 1 styles. below is from v-leds website to explain,

"Type 1 alternates white and amber when the turn signal is applied
Type 2 only the amber flashes when the turn signal is applied"

Doubt he would do anything about it, just tell me it must be my truck. Besides its not a bad bulb I got 2 pairs 1 for my gf's truck. Suppose I could email him though

i called v-leds about my amber leds on the switch backs since three rows (2 on one, and 1 on the other) have quit working and they said "it's your truck and nothing can be done once you have reached the 90 day warrant limit. email them a short video and they might be able to do something but it is unlikely."

i paid $55 for two bulbs and two resistors with a 15% discount, and now they are turning into junk before my vary eyes. i emailed the ebay seller asking what he would do in this case and he said "send them back and we will issue a return product right away" seems to me v-leds just lost my business.

V-LEDs is a pathetic company. They mark up chinese garbage by a factor of about 200% over the real cost and then give out measly 10% and 15% discounts to make people think they are getting a steal of a deal.

I just recently replaced all of the LEDs in my truck with bulbs from V-LEDs except the tails and cargo lights. So far, I can say that they have all made an improvement. The color is much better IMO, whites all 5K and they produce a very clean white light.

I got the switchbacks and one row of white on one bulb was defective. I already got the replacements and they work great. I've been swapping LEDs since I got my truck in '08 and I can honestly say that the build quality on the V-LEDs bulbs is better than a lot of other bulbs I've used.

This is all just my opinion but I'm very happy with the products and customer service from V-LEDs up to this point. I will keep you guys updated on the long-term durability of these bulbs. I plan on ordering bulbs for my fog lights but they never seem to have them in stock. After that all I need to do is the HID projector retrofit for the heads...

i run there leds in my cargo, tag, and front sidemarker lights and they all work fine as well. i had trouble with a pair of red tag lights which almost melted the housings and now the switchbacks. i'm glad yours work fine, just make sure they still are around the 90 day period..
