Silverstar Ultra bulbs and HID fog lights

My windshield is tinted with 70% film, that does help in showing how much the new bulbs helped over the factory bulbs, but they did.

They should be okay when it's foggy I would think, that's when they are meant to be used. What did you think about the Ultras? Remember, I am looking through a windshield with 70% tint on it.

Ultras look good, are those the new H13s? If you want good fog penetration, halogens will do better than HIDs. Especially blue ones.

Not bad but it looks like you need to adjust you headlights they seem to be aimed a bit high. I am not sure where you live but in VA those would have to be adjusted down just a bit to pass state inspection.

Of course not many techs when doing inspections check the lights for correct aiming they only check to make sure they are working.

If you're looking for better light at night take the tint off the windshield.....

The tint is not for looks, it's really there for comfort, it makes sitting in my truck almost tolerable. Sitting in the sun with the engine off and the windows almost all the way up is rough, the tint really helps.

I live in VA and very few places actually check for aiming, most of the time they just flick them on and off. Too bad they don't check for hids in all the little hondas running around here..

I agree with the headlights aimed a bit high (or at least it looks like it is). If you want more light output on the street (esp. with the tint you have), I would get a 35w bi-xenon kit - choose whatever kelvin you want but try not to go over 6K.

Overall, it looks really good man!

They are really a little bit low, my driveway goes uphill a slight amount before it flattens by the garage. I took my truck to the parking lot of a local business and used the side of their building to aim them with.

70% shouldnt create any problems at all.. here's a couple quick shots of 35w 6k hids in heads and fogs behind a 25%-28% windshield and then around the windshield.

He got Halogen (SilverStar Ultra bulbs) in his head lights, not HID's. But these pictures should be the reason why he needs to upgrade to bi-xenon HID's though!
