LED Cab Lights

OK a couple of weeks ago i finally got my cab lights installed. Everything went pretty good except for it got late and had to put everything back together quickly before being able to test. Well finally pulled it all back apart and redid the wiring as I had done a not so great job last time. I know I am getting power from the correct spot on the light dial and I know I am well grounded but the lights are still not working. Could it be that on these LED's I need to reverse the wiring or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes the LED's are most likely wired backwards. LED's are polarity sensitive so if you take the bulb out and flip it around it will most likely work.

these are not exactly easy to open the casings for the lights couldn't I just reverse the wiring it self and get the same thing done. And thanks this gives me a starting point if reverse the hot and neutral wiring doesn't work.

Just reverse the hot and ground and see if that works.

Thanks I will try that tonight. That only involves dropping my headliner where opening up the lights involves taking the screws back out which I would not be excited about so lets hope reversing the hot and ground works. Thanks again guys will let you know how it goes.

Even though I'm not a fan of cab lights on a half ton .....they do look good on your truck!

Thanks guys it was a fun mod to do. A little nerve racking at first but once I got past the first hole I was drilling into the roof of my truck I was good.

Once I get all the other lights changed out to smoked too I think everything will look really sharp.
