VLEDS Switchback bulb fix

VLEDS Switchback bulb fix
Curious if anyone has replaced their turn signal bulbs with the VLEDS Switchback bulb? If so, did you have the fast blinker or any other issues when you installed them? I see options on their website for blinker fix, warning light fix and electronic flashers but not sure if or which one I may need? Their customer service directed me to their webpage, but didn't offer anything else. Anyone have advice?

Yes you'll have the hyperflash syndrome because the V-LEDs flashback bulbs, as well as all low current draw LEDs, will have this issue. Best bet is to go into Autozone/O'Reilly's/Advance Autoparts and ask for the LED flasher unit to replace the stock flasher located in the fuse box.
To be honest I do like their LEDs but the longer bulbs such as the 92-LEDs are too long and as a result most of the individual LEDs are outside of the focal point of the stock housing.

any advice? yeah, SEARCH. there are numerous members just on this site using them, and most everybody that has talked about them in a thread also mentions what you will need to remedy the hyperflash. which on the 04-08 and i believe the generation before the 04-08s, use a TRIDON EP-27 flasher and If i remember, it will say "LED compatible" on it.
p.s. forgot to ask, what model year truck do you have? you may have to splice in a resistor for each bulb..
every led bulb, big or small will be outside of the focal point..

OP, you need load resistors on the front. AutoZone and AdvancedAuto have them, and may be a few bucks cheaper than V-LEDs. They create a controlled short between the turn signal lead and ground, fooling your ECU into thinking there is a bulb still drawing from the circuit. Your truck does not have a stand-alone flasher relay like the 1997-2008 trucks.

You dont need to get the resistors.....I have a 2010 and replaced my turn signals (front only) with switchbacks. I too thought I needed the resistors so I ordered them. my lights work like factory without the resistors or any other mods. just take out the factory bulbs and install the switchbacks. I went with 5000k white to match my retro heads (FX-R stage III) and they look awesome. Now I have the resistors sitting at home and I dont need them.
