well I deliver pizza and i dont have a very good turning radius so im constantly backing up in tight spots.

I just picked up a pair of these http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=618333_0_0_

at autozone for 40 bucks. I heard that the bulb inside gives off yellow light so i was thinkign about buying replacement bulbs...maybe I could get some that are white but a little less powerful? and will the projectors have too concentrated of a beam ?

if they dont work out ill just give them to my brother for his excursion or just play doctor on them lol.

Yellow is the opposite of black, you'll have more usable light with the yellow

Oh. I thought you meant projectors as in headlight projectors from the retrofit source. Yeah, yellow light offers more useable light.

Just make your own wiring harness out of either 12ga or 14ga wire and pick up some crimp on connections to match what is on the lights and switch. Also don't forget to use heat shrink on all the connections out side the truck or you will be redoing it all again.

16ga is a little lite for that application, I always try and run a heavier wire to lights and especially if there is a long run between the power source and the lights like yours is going to be. I don't know if it's illegal in your state or not but it would not hurt to ask the local police and explain what you are doing with them.

I dont have it all hooked up yet but I wanted to make sure both lights work. one does but the other doesnt. unscrewed the light and the bulb looks fine and all of the connections look good. any ideas? I would just take it back but ive already messed with the other wires too much and i dont think theyd let me

The guy at autozone was probably talking about blue leds that alot of people put on the bumpers and underglow and stuff like that. They always tell people that when they buy lights so that they can't be responsible for anything, but the way your using them shouldn't be illegal. When I first read your last post, I thought you meant you had literally hit a road block and broke the light haha. I always check my lights before I mount them by just touching the wires to the battery to see if it lights up. Make sure you have the switch wired the right way and all of the grounds are good.

its weird tho. one light works even if the ground isnt touching anything but the other still wont work at all. blehh. I would but another and switch out the lights but the box has a security thing wraped around it and you have to basicly destroy the box to get it open.
