06+ Round foglight projector retrofit

Complete write up coming soon!

Since there are some people that want to do a 06+ round fog light retrofit but would like to know whats needed. Here's a quick look at the projector needed to do this retro.
First off "The Retrofit Source" is selling a matchbox projector for a limited time only. The matchbox projector fits very well into the round fogs. Don't expect a huge light increase with these just due to their size. I have no output pictures of these yet.

Over all I did this in 1.5 hours with old damaged fog lights. Trying to use a Mini H1 projector would be very hard to do as you can see in the first picture. If I was keeping this damaged fog light lens, I would have to bolt the projector with 2 bolts and align cutoff.

Cool! I knew the matchbox would work in those smaller 06+ foglamps. Output wont be nearly what the MH1 is, but still far better than the factory halogen. Quad high beams alone is worth the effort!

Anxious for output pics.

By looking at the first pic, there is no way it would fit. Too long.

I agree. Unless you want to cut the back off the fog light housing and remanufacture it. Even with the matchbox it's almost a tight fit. A 1/8 or less to spare.

Dumb questions from the peanut gallery...

1. Is that a melted spot on the lens already ?

2. Did you test with and without the factory lens, to know if this changes the light pattern ?

Nice.
