I want to replace my instrument panel light bulbs with socket fitting LEDs but I can't for the life of me find the size of either light bulbs. Ford told me there are two different sizes (black socket and grey socket) but their computer wouldn't show the sizes. Does anybody know what the sizes are and where I can a good deal on LEDs that fit those sockets?

And I'm pretty sure they're the same size in both body style's because those require 74's too. So what raptor posted would have helped you, either way that was the first thing that popped up on google. Good luck with the swap man, are you changing colors?

 

Yeah Ford isnt going to change something cheap and easy. All clusters use the 194 bulb, while some may utilize a 74 here and there as well.

 

Okay thank you. i had the thought that they might use the same wedge bulb but ford said that there were two different sizes (black and grey socket) and thats what threw me off. So the 194 will fit in the "grey" and "black" sockets. thanks again for the info!

 

It's either that or the 194 fits in one socket and the 74 fits in the other.
