2010 - LEDs - will I have hyperflash/issues?
2010 - LEDs - will I have hyperflash/issues?
I have an 01 Mustang GT, that I converted to V-LEDs last year. All exterior including 3rd brake lamp. I did have to replace the flasher unit, and things flashed at the normal rate. I did have an odd issue of the cruise control not working (with headlights on), and the digital odometer area of the dash going blank when hitting the brakes. This all stems from the LEDs. If I took them out, things were fine. The Mustang is rarely driven so I am not concerned about the issue since I know what causes it and its not permanent/harming things.
I want to do this to my 2010 screw. I have read that there really is no flasher on the 09-present, its all in the computer itself.
I imagine someone here has converted their 2010 to all LEDs (turn, stop/tail, and high mount brake), so I have some questions.

- Does one have to run inline resistors? If so what ohm? Do you have to run one on each bulb or just one resistor on each side (passenger and driver)?
- Where did you mount them? I know they get hot.
- Did you get the resistor with mounting kit from VLED?
- Did the high mount brake light need a resisstor as well?
- Any odd issues with cruise control/dash display after putting in LEDs?
1.) Yes. Get the load resistors from autozone. 1 for each corner.
2.) doesnt matter, just make sure they dont touch the wires
3.) n/a
4.) this problem was persistant on the 11th gen models for the cruise control not working but i havent head anything as of yet about the newer trucks
5.) you shouldnt

Looks like (according to VLED), that I need 3 ohm resistors. I have 3 bulbs on each side (1 up front, 2 in the tail). The 3 ohm are good for 4 bulbs per side, the 6 ohm are good for 2 bulbs per side. Since I have 3, I need the 3 ohm I assume.
I can buy these and just mount them somewhere. http://www.v-leds.com/BlinkerWarning...95268-1-2.html

I just switched all my lights to led's and I have hyper flash.I have a 2011 HD.I have 2 resistors but I don't know which wires to hook them up to.I assume I put them on the wire that makes the blinkers work?I just dont have a multi meter to test it,nor do I know how to use it..lol I would appreciate any help or advice also.
