headlight problem

headlight problem

I have a 2004 f150 ,my both headlights are not working no hi beam or low beam I also have daytime running lights and the don't com on either anybody have any idea what to start checking first? please reply back as soon as possible.

To start with, I would check to see if there is any power to the headlights. If not, I would guess that the headlight switch went bad.

Do your parking lamps (front and rear) come on?

1.) Check your fuses. Both the engine compartment and the kick panel locations. And I don't mean pull them out and look. Put an ohm-meter on them and listen for the beep.

2.) Pull your headlights off their sockets and check for voltage while someone cycles through the position at the switch.
