Please help with a/c clutch problem

2007 f150 lariat screw A/C stop working today, I checked and the clutch is not engaging.I checked the fuses and relay. I found the A/C diodes open, but I understand this would not stop the clutch from engaging correct? I tested to see if I was getting 12 volt to the clutch and I am. Can the clutch be replaced? I looked online and all I see are the compresses. I tried to remove the clutch and the small bolt broke off. So I guess I am screwed? Any information would great. Thanks

Yeah, you're screwed. If you cannot extract that bolt, you'll have to replace the compressor itself.

Never heard of anyone breaking that bolt before....

Ok I heated the bolt and it came right out. Now, I am trying to fine part numbers. I think I would need the coil and clutch. Pulley and bearing look ok.
The pulley came off easy after removing the snap ring, but how hard is it to get the coil part off? I am having a time getting the snap ring off of the coil part.

Thanks

Don't dink with the coil unless you KNOW it's bad. They're a lot harder to replace and usually requires that the compressor be removed to a workbench where a puller can be used.

Test the coil first...

The coil reads 2.4 Meg ohms, shouldn't be around 4.8 k ohms?

Check your meter.

The coil should read around 3 or 4 OHMs
