Question Automatic Climate Control

Anyone installed this in lieu of their rotary dials for heating and a/c?

Saw the console for this in a Navigator, and wondered if it would bolt on up. Just another mod to consider.

Keep on customizin'

Thumbs down

I sure agree with you on having climate control, but whats in the Nav and what we have in your trucks,is a whole different thing.
Changing out would be $$ and then you would have to buy the Nav components, junk yard or ??. All in all it's a very tough job, I looked into it several years ago, that's how I know, but if you got the bucks and connections to do it, Good Luck.

Mostly a need to know what is involved, i'd be happy to champion the project. I can get all oem parts at dealer cost, which is about half of what they normally charge.

My trucks going to be paid out soon - so it's time to start messing around with it.

yes i also was pondering about that. a friend of mine has the navigator, and the HVAC interface was quite nice compared to the three dials that accompany my truck. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, I'm on the hunt for a wrecked piece. But they are easy to repair, so you don't find many at the boneyard.

I'm still in search of one for a RAP module so i can put keyless on my early build 99 150.

Thanks

Talking

Would someone just please do this mod and fill us in. I'm not courageous enough to go first but it is the one mod I would love to
I gave up a Lincoln Mark VIII for my truck and of all the toys that are missing, the climate control is the one I miss most. Not the power seats, autolamp, auto dim mirrors, systems monitor (actually kinda miss that one), etc., etc.

Go figure.
It's going to be an option for 02'. Standard on Lariat.
Maybe now it would be an easier mod?

Actually it's going to be on the Lariat and King Ranch SuperCrew. Looks like the SC models don't get it.
