No heat, but A/C is going gangbusters
I replaced the heater core in my 1991 150 about a month ago. Yesterday, I couldn't get any heat out of it, on any panel setting.
I took out the glove box and cover and found the core hot. Unscrewed the flush fitting and coolant squirted out of the heater hose.
I also noticed that the A/C seemed to be on more than normal. Sure enough, even with the temp setting on defrost and hot, I was getting 45 degree air out of the floor vent, and about ambient temp out of the defrost vent.
Could it be the compressor pressure switch? Malfunction in the vacuum plenum controls? Does it matter that my No. 9 30A fuse was partly melted, but not blown?
