Quiet squeaking sound

If the air is turned on, no matter what position, fan speed in low (anything higher it goes away), I get a high pitched squeaking sound, almost like a cricket but not quite. It comes from the upper right hand portion of the dash. Had this for about two months, just now getting around to wanting to fix it. Any idea what it might be? I know I can just turn up the radio and get over it, but it's still going to be there (and possibly get worse). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
- B

I have good news and bad news for ya... The good news is the squeaking is caused by the bearings on the fan motor and your dealer will easily identify this... The bad news is its gonna cost you around $400 for the dealer to fix it... Its not a simple bearing replacement as your dealer will have to swap out the entire unit....

Will these bearings wear out or will it stay like it is? And if they do wear out, will the fan no longer work at all or just at the speed they squeak? Is it a fix I can do myself?

Thanks
