fan only works on 2 settings

Finally figured out how to get the motor out. It was pretty rusted. Didn't move freely if you spin slow. Replaced motor and resistor. Back in business.

I just ordered the resistor from Autozon for $16.

1 - nothing
2 & 3 - same as 2
4 - works like 4

Well, I replaced my resistor and the problem is still the same:

speed 1 works
speed 2 works
speed 3 (stays the same as 2)
speed 4 works

any thoughts?

Try a new switch.

Yep; I did some more searching and a new switch is next on the list. Any tips on replacing that?
