EATC—INTERMITTENT WARM AIR OUTPUT TSB 08-23-6
TEMPERATURE SET 68-72 F (18-22 C) EMTC—
INABILITY TO CONTROL TEMPERATURE OUTPUT
FORD: LINCOLN:
2005-2008 F-150 2006-2008 Mark LT
ISSUE NOTE
Some 2005-2008 F-150 and 2006-2008 Mark LT THE IGNITION KEY MUST BE OFF WHEN
vehicles equipped with Electronic Automatic REPLACING THE ACTUATOR. ENERGIZING THE
Temperature Control (EATC) may exhibit ACTUATOR BEFORE INSTALLATION ON THE
intermittent periods of warm air output in Auto mode HEATING VENTILATION AIR CONDITIONING
with the temperature control set between 68-72 (HVAC) CASE WILL CAUSE THE PART TO
degrees Fahrenheit (18-22 degrees Celsius). Some BECOME MISS POSITIONED AND CORRECT
2005-2008 F-150 vehicles equipped with Electronic ORIENTATION WILL BE LOST. INCORRECT
Manual Temperature Control (EMTC) may exhibit ACTUATOR OPERATION MAY RESULT.

im having the same problems as you guys with the eatc but i have manual controls.is there a fix for this?

This TSB applies to manual AC also.

let me see if this is right.my truck is an 05 and recently it seems like my air gets hot,i can turn it off and back on and it cools again.that means i have a faulty blend door motor actuator?i have manual a/c.im kinda confused but i am having a concern..

When you guys say it blow cold then hot, does it turn hot and then stay hot or does it return cold ever again?

my truck will sit for awhile and then i get in it and after a few minutes it will still be hot air,i turn off the ac and turn it back on then my air gets cold.one time i got in my truck in a parking lot let it run with ac for a few minutes air was cold then it got hot,turned off and then on and was cold again.now mind you it doesnt do it everyday.btw i have manual ac.

Mine would change between hot and cold but the blower speed would never change. BTW, I took mine in last week and they had it fixed in an hour. They cited this TSB in the repair paperwork. Everything back to normal.
