Climate control has only 1 connector;pcm might have to be re-flashed. I would talk to a Ford tech or service advisor.

You mean there is only 1 climate control plug on the back of either the manual or electronic control systems??

If anyone can answer?

I pulled off my Temperature Control switches today.. There is 2 connectors on the back of the manual(****) control. One switch is yellow and the other is black. On the electronic version there are also 2 connectors, the yellow one and a white one....

Is there a different harness or connector that uses the same wires on both the manual and electronic versions. Like for example the same wires are in the black connector and white connector with just a different connector on the end.

Thanks for the help

Long story short, it isn't worth the work involved to swap to electronic. It isn't just a plug and go type of deal.

I'll keep you guys posted, I just bought a EATC head unit, 2 factory manuals, and the factory wiring diagram book, all on ebay.

I read that a few other components need to be added, as well as a FX4 or Lariat Cluster. I found most of the components at www.fordparts.com.

What I cant find is if the original center cover can be modified to fit the EATC, as all covers seem to be for the center console configuration, not the 40/20/40 with the floor shifter.

Custom applications seem to follow me around...

Sure would of been easier if Ford would of made 8' Lariats, like my old trucks.

I did this swap on my '03 Ranger using '01 Explorer componenets and it was quite a job. Things such as alot of harnesses, sun load sensor, blend door actuator, and auto-fan contoller, and alot of wiring and online reading were needed...lots of trips to the local salvage yard but it worked well. I am interested to see how it works out on a newer F150. I am not willing to try it again any time soon though! Too much hacking up stuff on my new truck to make me feel comfy! It'd be more hassle than to find a new or different truck to buy with the option already installed.

Cant get an 8' Lariat, like you could pre-2004. I had two, and it was great.
