my ac gets good and cold on my 93 f150 as long as im driving ,but when it idles for a minute it turns allmost hot. any ideas? its idle at 800 rpms which i think is normal.

 

Clutch fan or electric fan? If clucth check it, if its not moving air at idle the feron in the condenser will heat up and stop cooling. Could be your compresser is worn and not turning fast enough at idle to keep it cooling. Putting gauges on it and checking pressure would give a better idea of what the problem is. Also check the condenser for dirt buggs leaves or what ever and clean it out with the hose.................
