Defrost vents only

Hey guys, on my new F-250, the air only comes out of the defrost vents only. Doesn't matter what selection the **** is on, it's always on defrost. Any ideas/suggestions? Even when it's on off, I can still feel the air coming through. Thanks...

Scroll back a couple of pages or SEARCH for "defrost".

This FAQ comes up frequently (every week or three).

Right, but here's the tricky part. On the PSD, the only vacuum systems are the HVAC and the hubs. Power brakes are run off the power steering pump. Usually the leak is at the auto hubs, but my hubs are engaging just fine. But, when I turn the selector ****, (even with the motor off) I still can't hear that normal hissing HVAC sound.

Verify vacuum supply from the pump to the firewall. You're still quite likely to find the same vacuum leak or vacuum problem as with a gasser.

Hello, I had a similar situation in my 02 F550 work tow truck, and I found a vacuum connector unplugged under the blower box on the passenger side floor. (look up under the dash) It was a clear connector with black and white vacuum lines to it. as soon as i plugged it back in together, the A/C went from coming out of the defroster only to coming out of the vents as I had selected. It seems one of my customers may have kicked it or caught it with thier foot. Hope this may help you.[IMG][/IMG]
