No Heat
No Heat
I have a problem with my heat. I have a 98 F 150 and last night the heat was working just fine. This morning when I started it up, let it run for 15-20 min to warm up, just to find out there was no heat. I went throught the cycles of cold to hot, changed from defrost, to floor to panel thinking that the reason I was feeling the cold air was because the windsheild was cold. I was wrong on that idea. Does anyone have any idea on what could have happened? Is it the heater core or something else?
I have done some looking around the hoses that go through the fire wall and felt them to see how hot they were. They were as hot as the return hose for the radiator. So I think I narrowed the problem down to the heater core. After I let it run for a good bit, I turned on th heat and set it to defrost. I am getting luke warm air coming out from the middle vent.
just take off the hoses at the firewall, take a garden hose give it a few blasts till the water runs clean. i had the same problem on my old dakota after i flushed her out i could have roasted hot dogs over those vents.
