A/C Not Blowing Cold

Hello.

I just purchased a 1998 F-150 with only 95,000KMs on it. The air conditioner does not blow cold. The compressor cycles on and off, but the temperature of the air is no colder than the ambient temperature. Does the A/C system just need to be charged, or can something else cause this problem?

Thank you

How often does the compressor cycle, say on 3 seconds off 5 or something? Try to see if the temp setting changes with say vent on makes an air temp difference. When my blendor went, it was stuck on full heat. You sound down on refrigerant, r-134a.

AC shouldnt blow cold, it should remove the heat.

also be sure to use virgin r134 and not r134 with the stop leak, or other additives.

How would one go about checking if the blend door is the cause?
