A/C blows through top defrost.

From what I've read on the forum, i suspect it's a vaccume hose problem. Would that be correct? It's blowing through the top defrost no matter what setting I put it on. 2001 Screw.

Thanks

Probably.

Most common point is the small black hose located under the hood, between the battery and the firewall. Extremely common.

fixed

That was it, the small black hose that was connected to the check valve had broken. So took the nipple off of the broken piece and attatched it to the other end, reinstalled it and everything is cured.

Thanks.

i am also driving a 2002 screw 4x4, my ac switches to the defroster and back to the dash vents intermittently, its getting worse. just started a few days ago. ive checked all the vaccum lines under the dash, and going from firewall to where the battery is, and i cant find a leak or crack or anything. im starting to think its the climate control head unit in the dash? any suggestions
