I have an 93 F150 302..

The ac has 2 reading MAX AC NORMAL AC....when I set it to MAX AC it works fine untill I go up a hill....then it all turns it self off....EVEN THE BLOWER..
If I gun it it will come back on....

If I set the control know to normal AC I dont have this problem.....


Yea Yea Yea I know Dont set it to MAX AC...

i have the same problem with my 97. Would appreciate the help also.

 

hmm I have no idea I have never heard of a problem like that.

 

Sounds like a vacume problem.
Check all you tubing in the engine compartment and under the dash that have to do with the A/C
