Exclamation Air stays on after ignition is off!!

I have a 2002 F-150 4.6. Today I noticed that my ventilation is still blowing after i turn off the car and pull out the key from the ignition. When i turn it to off it turns off and will not turn back on. I checked the fuses and relays and they seem to be fine. Also noticed that the passenger air bag light for on/off was flickering a bit after the car was off. Any ideas I don't have a clue. The reason I came about the problem was I usually leave the air to floor on low and went to start the truck and the battery was dead, I replaced the battery and when I went to start it I heard the fan running before the key was even in the ignition. Thanks in advance any help would be great!

I don't have any blown fuses and I checked the climate control relay and it was fine, so i am still lost here.

Relays and fuses aren't the issue.

See my previous post.

Got this off an email notice about the GEM and what it controls.

:::Interior Functions:::: One-Touch Down Driver’s window control - Headlamp On reminder Control of Battery Saver and Accessory Delay functions - Speed Dependent Interval wipers/washer - Front Door Ajar Warning Indication (Audible and visual) - Interval Wipers/Washer - Rear Air Bag Tone Request Applications - Safety Belt Warning Indication (Audible and visual) Key in ignition reminder - Brake Warning Lamp Control

So I still don't see how it relates to my problem also I don't have any sort of windshield leak I checked up and down the A post and it's dry as a bone.

Looked a bit closer at this issue this morning.

Does the blower motor switch OFF when the HVAC control is set to OFF (ignitiopn to OFF)? If no, then the blower relay is shorted (stuck in the energized position).

If yes, then the possibilities includes a faulty ignition switch, or a short to B+ in the power feed (ckt 687) to the HVAC selector switch. This feed also goes to the RCM, PAD, several 4 X 4 devices, 4WABS system, and a few more items. These circuits all go through the underdash fusebox which is often affected in the event the windshield has leaked in the past.

OK the problem stopped about 2 days after it started. I had not driven the truck for about 4 days because of the battery issue, after t was replaced is when I noticed the vent problem and went away after a little over 24 hours. The blower motor stayed on after ignition was off and key was removed, when turned to off it would shut off and not go back on. I will check again for the window leakage because in the past I have had other symptoms of what you are explaining but there is definitely no obvious leak. If all is well now and I get the window resealed will the problem stay away?
