Standard Climate to Auto Climate control conversion
Anybody gone all the way through with this conversion? Thought it would be nice one to do, but would like to know everything that would be needed to do it. Not sure if the "sunload sensor" is the same thing as the sensor that turns your lights on at night or somthing else.
If all that is required is to find the corect wires and splice them into the corect wire harnes, this doens't sound too bad, but if ou have to run a whole new wire harnes, then maybe it is more than I want to get into. so if someone has done this and could do a step by step, that would be great.

Just for the record, I have it in my EB Expy it looks great and works nice when temperature outdoor temps are between 45 and 80. (and yes I have the manual controls for the rear.)
The rest of the time I have it set on extreme temps 90 When Cold out, 65 when Hot out) as the system cant achieve or maintain those temps, especialy as the truck gets older
IMHO save yourself the trouble and invest time and money on something that will make your truck better.
Drive with one on a very cold or very hot day and you will see what I mean

Not only does it know how to get hot or cold, but it maintains ANY temp I choose. I can feel single degree temp changes while going down the highway in both extremes....gosh, I need to take my jacket off or, "Is there a draft in here?"... Oh well, I have been thinking about dropping an electronic control in my 01 screw cuz I like it so much...Might have to rethink that now!
There are 2 wires you need to swap. This is the other link I found.

First page about 1/2 to 3/4's down.

install of EATC in place of EMTC
How do you mount the Blower Motor Speed Controller where the Blower Moter Resistor was? I changed out the wires and installed the Electronic temp control unit, put in a cabin temp sensor. The factory install of a blower motor speed controller is different than a resistor. Do I need to cut into the plastic space where the resistor was. Or just hook up the wires and mount it somewhere?
