Does anyone know if the A/C compressor is engaged even after the interior climate contol has reached its desired temperature, or does it only cycle as needed. Also, my display always reads a/c even when I have turned the temperature higher than ambient. Is this weird?

 

The compressor will cycle on and off as demand requires. The blend door adjusts as necessary to try to maintain temperature.
