Yeah, I agree. I might not be able to take it off and check it for a couple of days. Maybe that "THUMP" is due to lack of use?????
Maybe it needs a bit of lubrication????
It blows really cold. But sometimes it just starts blowing ambient air temps for maybe 10-15 seconds then goes back to cold.

I'll hold you to that someday...

I think the thump might be a cracked temperature door, but I don't want to jump to conclusions just yet.

Tps

Reloader you putting the pedal to the floor 4 times on your 3 mile trip home?
You know the compressor shuts off at WOT.
Just kidding but you said it happens while "Moving".

There could be a problem with the throttle position sensor though.
Good Luck

Maybe, but the warmer air doesn't last for maybe 10 seconds, then back to cold. It's not hot air, just warmer, you know, not real cold like it should be.

Nothing more except that when it starts with the warmer air, it only lasts maybe 4-5 seconds now instead of 10 seconds, then back to cold. The EATC module seems to be working fine because when I put the temperature higher, the fan slows and it switches from recirc to fresh with the fan slowing down bit by bit. Switch to max and the icy hurricane starts blowing.
I probably won't have a chance to take anything apart until this weekend so when I get that cover off I'll be able to see what's what.
Maybe that thump noise is a blend door sticking, then flying open???
Didn't hear it today when I turned it on after work. Hmmm......

Usually it's from the motor turning, reaching the split in the door then the door going THUMP as the motor passes by that split.
