Unhappy Help! No air out of Panel

switching to any of the vent control ok (panel, floor, def, a/c, max/ac ). but in all positions, no air is coming out of the PANEL ventsl.

air temperature is ok, cold when in blue, hot when when in red.

searched this forum but couldn't find exactly what the answer is. could be blend actuator, vacuum leaks.

hope you can help. appreciate any leads where i can start fixing.

thanks! thanks! thanks!

i would check all the vacuum lines to the vacuum motors. does it work only on defrost? If it does then look closer at the black vacuum line (supply)

Need anymore help, ask

Good Luck

Since the temp is ok throughout the range, it's not your blend door actuator.

Sounds like the panel door actuator (or one of it's connections) has gone kaput and you'll need to have a close look at it.

1. Start your truck up and put your HVAC in the off position (so a vacuum can build up)
2. Turn your truck off (this will make it easier to hear)
3. Quickly turn the HVAC mode **** to panel-only
4. Listen for a hiss and an actuator noise.

I doubt it's a vacuum leak because your system would default to defrost if you turned it to panel mode.

Thanks for your replies. i wasn't able to check this site this weeked thus haven't tried this out yet, but was able to do some tinkering.

i removed the center panel, exposing the center vents. i then reached in the vent until i could feel/touch the "doors". it was indeed closed. started the truck with A/C on, still closed. so i pushed it open, and did a close/open about a dozen times, still with the A/C running.

turned off everything. started the truck, then the A/C and... it's working! Air's now going out of the Panel. Maybe, i thought, i was lucky. so i waited a few minues and did the same thing... still working. well...

maybe i'll still check your replies. i'll write an update when i'm done.

it was also a good time to clean the inside vents.
