Heater Core Clog?

Is there a way to tell if my heater core is clogged up? Bother heater hoses are hot, but no heat coming in to cab. Only COLD air. I was told that my core might be clogged. Should I get a radiator flush done on it or ?? Any imput will help

Yes both heater lines will be hot even if core is plugged. If you find that to be the case? You can take your lines loose and clamp your hose pipe on to it and blow it out. If that is the problem? After you blow it out you need to do a system flush and add fresh antifreeze.

I don't see how the return line could be hot if it was clogged. I guess maybe it's a partial clog

This was the problem on mine when I was experiencing the same problem as you

Ok, heater core is good, blend door is in tact. Not sure if motor is ok. I think the temp switch on the dash might be bad. If only ford parts was open on Sat. Guess I'll have to wait until Monday to see if that's what it is.
