Inconstant heat?
I have a 2004 F150 FX4 Supercrew.
Has anyone out there hade any problems with the interior temperature dial?
I recently took a trip to the Adirondacks, on my way home I had the heater on and I constantly had to adjust and readjust the interior temperature dial to keep a comfortable temperature. It seems that if the dial was set to just left of the top center, the temp was either too hot or too cold. I could not seem to set the dial in this area and have the temperature constant.

As I'm sure you're aware, the entire HVAC system is controlled by vacuum. But unlike the old days the hoses aren't connected to the switch.
The **** nowadays is essentally a reostat that controls the voltage value to a vacuum module that in turn sends the correct vacuum signal to the motor on the blend door. This is how temp is controlled.
What I suspect is happening is that either the voltage in this system is out of range at the **** or at the module. There could also be a vacuum leak in the hose, connections, or at the module itself. Any one or combination of these conditions would cause the inconsistant temp.
