heater core

I have a 1977 f150 with a heater core leak. Looking at the heater box it appears to be rivited together. it is partially under the dash and the dash is not removable. Does anyone have info on how to remove the heater box or does anyone recommend a particular book on how to do this job. Thanks for the help

The factory service manual/CD is the best source of information on how to remove the dash to get to the heater box.

If you read back in this HVAC forum a few weeks or months, you will find plenty of previous reports on replacing the core. Try the "last 100 days" selection.

There have been posts on replacement including pictures. Best to be reasonably experenced with w wrench as it is not an easy job.
