coolant electrolysis

ASE tech news last month had an article about heater core failures caused by electrolysis of the engine coolant. Test procedure was to take a DVOM and test for voltage between the coolant and ground. Voltage over .4v was cause for a drain and refill. Also mentioned that after market electronics not properly grounded could cause this condition. FYI !!
