04 SuperCrew Lariat air NOISE Help!!!

Hello everyone... I recently bought a 2004 F150 Supercrew Lariat 2WD. When I first got the truck I didn't notice a noise but after a week or two I noticed the air conditioning compressor "clicking" every 5 to 10 seconds while driving... At a stand still it is cycling normal but at speed (any speed) there is a loud click which sounds to me like the compressor cycling on and off. One Ford dealership said its normal another dealership reflashed the PCM as that had fixed another truck with the same problem. After the PCM flash it seemed to go away and then the next day it was back... Is there anyone else with an 04 with the 5.4L who noticed this same problem? Is it a normal Ford noise?

Lots of clicking is actually the norm. It bugs the crap out of some, others ignore it. Turn your radio on and it goes away (not really, but its not that loud and the radio drowns it out). You'll notice a few other new noises with the '04 that didn't exsist before. Nature of the beast.

noise

Did you find anything out on this?

I also have a 2004 f150 and all of a sudden it started making that noise, when you get going it almost sounds like its releasing air build up (pssst) every 10 15 seconds........

I will check with my dealer next week and see if i cant get this fixed or if its something i have to deal with...

I have the same hissing type sound in my '04 F150, like it's relieving air pressure every 30 seconds or so. I took it to the dealer today and they didn't find anything wrong with it. I guess I'll just turn the radio up.
