Post A/C low pressure switch

I see all the shortcuts to fix a troubled A/C. I have come to realize that my low pressure switch is bad. But I can't figure out how to fix that problem. Is it as simple as replacing a switch (myself) or do I have to get the accum./drier changed by a professional. Can someone help. Thanks

There's a schrader valve under the pressure switch to prevent refrigerant loss. Just unscrew the old one and stick the new one on.

Thanks for the help. I hate to sound like the new guy. In a nut shell you are saying that I simple remove the old switch from the accumm. and install the new switch. Don't have to worry about draining the system or loosing the charge.

Sound like the new guy? Hell, better that we ask questions and get it right the first time. Ask me how I know...

Yup, just unscrew the old one and thread the new one on. You might hear a little hissing, like when you open a bottle of soda, but that's all.
