Removal of Heater Core

I am helping my Dad remove the heater core on his '97 F150. We don't have a Ford manual and need to remove the core quickly. Can anyone give me some tips on removal to help me fast? Does the passenger dash have to come apart, or is there a way to change the core from the bottom of the passenger compartment?

Please help????

Sorry, there is NO fast way to replace the heater core. The steering wheel has to be lowered and the entire dash needs to be taken apart. Big P.I.A. About an 8 hour job.Get a Haynes or Chilton's book for the vehicle.

GETTING THE BOOK WILL GET YOU STARTED, BUT I FOUND OUT THAT THEY LEAVE HALF THE STUFF OUT OF THE BOOK. YOU WILL HAVE SCREWS LEFT OVER WHEN YOU GET DONE. I TOOK OUT 131 SCREWS AND HAD 24 LEFT OVER. I KNOW WHERE 5 OF THEM GO AND WAS NOT ABOUT TO ATTEMPT TO PUT THEM BACK IN. THE OTHER 19, WHO KNOWS?

Don't feel bad, I had about 10 left, and I have no new rattles. I'm happy with it.
