Interior Air Filtration
I have read a couple of posts where the individuals have installed an interior air filtration kit on their F150.
I believe the kit's Ford number
F65218D477AA.
After speaking w/ a couple of Ford service managers, who told me it does not fit, I am getting the impression that this won't work.

I don't know the part number, but I installed one on my 2001 F150. It cost me about $65 at the dealer. You have to modify the airbox a little, but this is a kit built for this from Ford. It has instructions and comes complete. Works well.
Good Luck!
Good Luck!
Both local Ford dealerships stated kit was no longer available.
I called the ford customer Service #, lo and behold they said it was available...Got a call from Ford CS in Mi. and KIT PN was verified. Called the largest dealership in So. cal and searched the database for the kit. 31 miles away but one dealership had it.
Several hours later install was done.
You have to cut every little bit of plastic from the template perimeter or that filter will not go in!
Thanks for the help!

Want to do it too!
Francis,
I got the run-around from the dealers and Ford Customer "Service" today. Basically they all said if the feature was installed already, they could provide replacement filters. If the filter isn't already there, then they would NOT supply a kit. ARGHHHH!
My question: Is the kit anything special? That is, is it more than just the filter itself and a template?
I know I can get the filter (www.hastingsfilter.com for example, part AF1057), but I'm trying to figure out the best way to install it. If all I need to do is cut out the opening and set it in place, then I can certainly handle that on my own. If there are other parts that go along with it (such as mounting hardware, brackets, etc.) then I may need to re-think my plan.
Thanks,
Rich

Rich,
The kit comes with a 2 pc. sheet metal cut out guide, the filter, the 4-6 screws, which hold the plastic injection molded seal plate (part of kit) in place.
I don't have allergies or any thing that bugs me...I live in So. Ca. so I thought I should do everything I can to filter out the crap....
I've driven in a friend's 2001 crewcab (no filter) and I did not discern any difference...
Guess a true test would be a ppm meter.
If you need more info, let me know...
PS. I tossed the Ford kit box about 3 months ago....
