Kenwood Head Unit
Kenwood Head Unit
Been a while since I posted anything, but I always seem to lurk around here.
I am tired of the stock head unit and want to get something with better sound quality. I have already done my doors and have two kicker 12" shallows under the rear seats. My build log can be found Here.
I am going to get a Kenwood deck because of the iDatalink Maestro module that will allow me to keep all of my Sync features. I like the BT, steering wheel controls and other functions of my stock deck. Just not the sound. I am looking at the Kenwood DNX570HD, DDX470 or the DDX370. The 570 has navigation and honestly not sure if I want to drop that much money on a head unit. 470 has built in BT and the 370 is just a plain head unit. According to Crutchfield chat support the 370 should retain all BT functionality as long as I buy the iDatalink module. Which is something I plan on doing no matter what.
I am looking for anyone with any experience with any one of these decks. Please provide any experiences good or bad with any of these head units or with the iDatalink module.
Thanks!!

I am planning on doing the same thing with my 2011, but I can't decide on which HU to go with. I like Kenwood, but I'm not sure about the reviews on the Crutchfield install kit. Some of the reviews mention a slight recess of about 1/8" when compared to the factory HU bezel. Another concern of mine is the module to keep my SYNC functionality.
