AM radio stopped working

Hi All, I have a 2008 F150 4x4 XLT Crew cab with the original single disk head unit. About 6 months ago my AM radio went out and it's been driving me crazy. Has this happened to anyone else? Everything else is working normally. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Forget about trying to fix it. Just replace the head unit. Go to Crutchfield's website and pick out something better.

Is there no sound at all on the AM frequencies, or just static? I had the same problem, where I just had static on the AM side. I went to walmart and bought a interference adaptor. I just pulled the head unit, plugged the adaptor on the attena, plugged it back in the radio, and everything was good to go.
