Best Single Din Head Unit

What is everyone's opinion for a brand on a top of the line single-din head unit? I have found a Kenwood model that meets my criteria (at least most of my criteria) and wonder if anyone knows of a better brand single-din head unit that has the following:

HD-Radio
Bluetooth
front usb
rear auxilary inputs
CD-Player (honestly, not that important. It would only be used on the rare occasion that someone brings a cd in the truck).

Also, has anyone installed a head unit in their truck below the A/C controls? I'm planning the install in a 2006 Lariat SCREW. It looks like it could be possible with some trimming.

If anyone is curious as to what I'm doing, here it is in a "nutshell"

I'm working on an android tablet CarPC setup and figure a single din head unit gets me the parts that the android tablet is missing, without having to install a complex series of amps and eq's. I'm currently in the "planning" stage (have been for 3 years now) and will be starting the project around the beginning of April. Once I get started I will get pictures and post progress reports.

As far as head unit brands, I only go with Pioneer. They have one of the best graphical interfaces and equalizer/sound tuning.

For options, its how much you want to pay. AUX and USB is pretty much standard now for aftermarket stereo's. Just make sure to pay attention to "option" and "option ready". They'll get you!

Are you planning on mounting the radio under the cigarette lighter area? Just make sure you cut a 2"x7" hole and test it with the cage.

Thanks for the reply!

After reading this I have now decided to go with a Pioneer unit. I will be sure to make note of "option" and "option ready"! I haven't ordered it yet, but the unit I'm looking at (DEH-P9400BH) appears to have all the features I want "included".

I am planning on mounting it under the cigarette lighter area. Thanks for the tip on the hole size!

I currently have a NAV system in the truck and will be cutting the top portion out to house either an 8.9" tablet, or if I can get it to fit, a 10.1" tablet.
