This is my first post so I am new to most of this stuff and I just recently purchased a 2007 F150 Fx4 Supercrew. However, the 6 disc cd player will not work now. It had been working a few months until about a week ago. It has 6 cds in it but they won't play or eject. I get a CD ERROR or NO DISC message everytime. Also, it makes a loud clicking sound every 5 mins that is driving me insane. So i was wondering if anyone has upgraded and has a stock player or knows where I can buy one because I'm in college and I can't afford the price Ford wants to replace the whole unit. I plan to do it myself. Thanks

 

Yeah, the mechanism is toast. Do you wanna get a ford 6 disc to replace it, or go aftermarket? I only know of one or two aftermarket 6 discs, the large majority of them are single disc.

 

If you want a cheap replacement for the time being let me know, I am taking the stock 6CD/MP3 out of my '05 this weekend.

 

I think I want one exactly like the stock one so ChrisAU do you want to pm me the details.

Picture was taken with a crappy cell phone camera, other than the button wear its in perfect shape. What looks like nicks and scratches in that picture is just dust either in my dirty truck lol or on the lens of that camera.
