Pioneer Avic Series?

looking into buying a nice HU for the Expy for christmas, what would you guys recommend? looking at spending $200-$400 can be new or used, just as long as it works.. I'm looking for something that plays cds, dvds, ipod connection, and nav, nav isn't a necessity but I wouldn't mind having it, so what do you guys suggest?

EDIT: also maybe something that allows me to keep the steering wheel controls working

EDIT2: is the Pioneer AVIC-D2 any good? I know a guy selling one under $200

surf the web and find out how much it usually is and about the steering wheel controls. and you need an antenna for the nav. but i installed my pioneer avic f900bt at home and you just need regular tools nothing special.

okay let me know if the avic d2 is good the guy that's selling it says its missing the volume ****, the screen sometimes needs your help to shut, and the screen needs to be re-calibrated, he says it comes with everything in the box, is this a good buy? i have the money to get it but don't want any problems...

I wouldn't buy it if all those things are wrong with it. I own a Z2 and I'm on a AVIC forum and I haven't heard anything about the motors messing up. The D2 is a good unit but I don't like it for one reason. The navigation is dvd based and there is only one slot for a cd/dvd so you can't listen to music at the same time unless you have your route set. for more info visit avic411.com but don't rush to purchase something b/c of the price. Don't forget to come back and let us know what you picked up.

Pass it up...wait for something better. Sounds like a lot of issues and not worth your time for a 4 year old nav unit.
