Bluetooth microphone routing....

Hi all. I just bought an Alpine CDE-103BT and I'm at a loss on where to route the bluetooth microphone wire/microphone. I want the location as easy as possible to install....

Thanks in advance!

My mic is at the top edge of my driver side A-Piller. I can get a picture of it tomorrow. It's not too hard to route.

FWIW, I'm using a Parrot Bluetooth Kit.

We mount 9/10 of the BT mic's at the top of the A pillar or dead center above the rear view mirror.

Where did you run the wire? Along the top outside edge of the dash? Did you have to remove the A-pillar cover?

Thanks!

I install them for a living, working for a cell phone provider.

Above the rear view mirror, the headliner will come down, may have to start it closer to the doors though, it can be stiff.

If your truck is 05+ it will be a breeze to hide all the wire, run it from the mirror to the pillar, then if you pull the pillar a bit you can put the wire on top of the head liner and run it down the pillar.

Take the little panel off ( where the dash ends ) and run the wire through there, the glove box can drop all the way down, it has a little rubber piece that stops it, just push the glove box in a little and it will come right out.

There is a massive space behind where the raido goes in a 05+, so you can hide all the wiring and boxes there.

should be easy, if its older than a 05, its still easy, just slightly different, the pillar covers in the older models comes all the way off, the 05+ does not come off so easy.

if its a 2000-2004 the panel below the steering wheel is a great place to hide things.
